In 2023, we had a crazy idea…
While reading a book about immersive educational experiences, the thought came to me – what if we took the principles from youth development programs (like 4-H, Boys and Girls Clubs, etc.) and applied them to short-term, but immersive travel experiences.
This was the birth of Bridegeford Adventures. Bridgeford literally bridges the gap between the science of positive youth development and hands-on experiential travel for youth and teens.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
Bridgeford Adventures is led by experienced youth development professionals with backgrounds in education, outdoor leadership, and youth programming.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT FOCUSED
Each adventure includes a youth development professional – not just college students. This means we understand how to create and craft adventures that provide the best possible experiences, while also being super focused on youth needs and creating positive environments for youth to grow, succeed, fail, and try new things.
INTEGRATED WITH LIFE SKILLS
Based on research from some of the nation’s largest universities, our adventures are crafted with not just cool experiences in mind (which, of course, is included). Our adventures also focus on developing the skills young people need to be successful later in life!
ADVENTURE THROUGH IN-DEPTH EXPERIENTIAL TRAVEL
Adventures are not short trips that provide a “cool story” for your friends and photos. Our adventures get you hands-on (sometimes in some unconventional ways). Depending on your adventure, you will learn about agriculture, natural resources, history, government and politics, culture, and/or food in a very hands-on way! Experiential learning helps retain knowledge learned and provides a more impactful experience. This is how we define adventure!
